AMERICAN INDOLENT (Doesn't Obama have enough work to do?)

You can't escape this guy Obama. He’s always on TV—the Super Bowl, MLB, The Final Four, and now American Idol (AI). It’s as if the CSI franchise expanded to CSI - Ysleta, Texas or Law & Order put out a new show, Law & Order—Flashers Special Unit. I wish this guy would jump the political shark and do some work. He seems to have an excuse to do anything but his job.

The AI show that Obama will be on is the show in which AI "gives back" (a term I wish would die along with "I want to make a difference") and donates megabucks to charities and causes.  It's the old "goodness by association" aura that Obama is seeking via his appearance on AI.  Unfortunately for Obama, not even standing next to Mother Teresa would help him.  Besides, Obama was never a generous person.  His charitable contribution only went up when he started running for President and the book royalties (laundered and disguised campaign contributions?) started rolling in. According to the New York Times some of the largest contributions went to Trinity United Church of Christ.  Its then pastor, Jeremiah Wright, was the author several inflammatory racist and anti-American statements. Obama sweated that one out even throwing Reverend Wright under the bus until after his inauguration.

As an aside, when it comes to going to church, Obama's excuse for not going is that he and Michelle would be too much of a distraction to the other churchgoers. So he says this is why he hasn’t found a church in Dee Cee to attend. BS, the guy would rather shoots hoops on Sunday morning than to go to church. Why not be honest about it?  A lot of us backsliders—me included—have skipped out on church more than a few times.  So what's the big deal?

The talent pool on AI is average this year, and putting Obama on AI won't really help things. Besides the "goodness by association" trick, another reason that Obama is going on AI is to divert attention from the intense anger seething from America over his underhanded health care plan. Today one of the poster children for Political Weasels everywhere—Bart Stupak—announced his retirement todayfrom Congress. Apparently Rep. Stupak doesn't have the "you-know-whats" to face angry voters.  They're somewhat upset over his about face in supporting ObamaCare after thumping his concave chest that he would NOT support it. The only association Americans are making is that we have politicians that don't respect the American voters' wishes. It's a good thing for Obama that AI voters won't be voting on his performance Tuesday night.

What is hate speech?

What is hate speech?  According to Answers.com, it is "Bigoted speech attacking or disparaging a social or ethnic group or a member of such a group. The article points out that the United States is unique among the judicial systems of the world in extending broad protection to such speech. Evidently, university speech codes were developed with the 1942 Supreme Court case Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire in mind. 

Chaplinsky established the "fighting words" exception to determine whether the offending speech is protected or not. The court opined that, "...as those [words] that neither contributed to the expression of ideas nor possessed any social value in the search for truth and that incited an immediate, violent response.  Sounds a lot like the old "no redeeming social value" test found in obscenity cases.  And like obscenity, fighting words are in the eye of the beholder.

Hate speech as defined by the Liberal-Fascists is a different animal. It is a tool by which they supress any opposition to their agenda.  Hate speech, therefore,  is any criticism of Obama's agenda by equating the agenda with Obama himself.  Perhaps the master stroke by the Democrats was in nominating Obama instead of Hillary Clinton for the presidency.  Yet somehow, the press handling of Obama with kid gloves smacks of racism, i.e., the soft bigotry of low expectations.  Chris Matthews epitomizes this institutionalized media bigotry.  Watch this little exchange between Matthews and his fellow Leftist media stooges, Keith "Mr. Depends" Olbermann and Rachael "Mad Dog" Maddow.

Gee, Chrissy, did you forget that Obama is half white? No, I wouldn't have expected anything less stupid from a half-wit like you.  This patronizing attitude by white Liberal-Fascists fits the definition of hate speech because it's reflective of a deep seated bigotry.  These are the most dangerous bigots because they are political sociopaths dressed in sheep's clothing.  

 

Do you really give a damn about role models?

Nike will air a TV commercial prior to the beginning of the Masters Tournament with Tiger Woods and a voice-over of his late father admonishing him about his personal problems on the eve of his return to golf.  In the retro old-school black-and-white ad, Woods looks directly and silently into the camera while a recording of his late father is heard, speaking about taking responsibility.  Earl Woods asks rhetorically,  "Did you learn anything?"  I'm getting this as secondhand hearsay so I'm relying on the PGA website for a description of the ad. 

This technology worked effectively in 2000 with Natalie Cole and her late father, Nat King Cole doing a faux duet of the classic Nat King Cole song “Unforgettable.”  But this Tiger Woods commercial isn't the same thing.  This is not a tribute to a legendary entertainer and racial trailblazer like Nat King Cole,  but is a rather cynical attempt to curry favor with pissed-off sponsors.  You will catch on to the manipulation technique if you hear cheesy piano music in the background.  Ad agencies like to use a manipulative piano music score with ads for health care providers and charities to ad pathos.

The only person to whom Woods owes an apology to is his wife.  In that same spirit, Jesse James owes an apology only to Sandra Bullock.  None of their sexual pecadillos is any of our business. Nor should we expect that people that make huge sums of money in the entertainment business owes any of us a duty to be a role model.  They are working stiffs that happen to have highly compensated and prized attributes that's all.   If you buy a product because of a celebrity's endorsement then I understand P. T. Barnum's unorthodoxically wise quotes that, “There's a sucker born every minute” and that “Without promotion something terrible happens... Nothing!”  

How Do You Justify the Assassination of an American Citizen?

According to the blog Truthout, Dennis Blair, the director of National Intelligence, admitted at a House Intelligence Committee hearing last February that the CIA can assassinate Americans abroad that are suspected of being involved in terrorism.  Blair added, "We don't target people for free speech. We target them for taking action that threatens Americans or has resulted in it."  Well, that's comforting to know.  Although to listen to the Democrats whine and lie about the "vitriol" surrounding the passage of the Health Care Deform legislation you'd think that Tea Party participants and talk radio hosts are the terrorists.

Anwar al-Awlaki is a Muslim cleric and a native born American.  Al Awlaki was born in New Mexico but is now living in Yemen.  He is believed to be the first US citizen targeted for assassination by the CIA under a counter-terrorism policy initiated by President George W. Bush and put into actual practice by the Obama regime.  

Knowing the tendency of the Obama regime to overreach their authority this move is troubling.  Why is this terrorist not being brought back to the United States to stand trial like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM) and four other men accused of plotting the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks?  As quoted in the Truthout blog, Professor Jonathan Turley, (not my favorite legal scholar), said last February, "...it is one thing to kill an American in the course of a terrorist act or to prevent an imminent attack. It is quite another thing to kill someone suspected of terrorism without a trial. That would amount to the assassination of a citizen."  

If we follow the "logic" of the Napolitano report citing right wing terrorism as the biggest danger to the United States then all of us on the center right had better hire some bodyguards muy pronto.    A comment to an Opinion Focus web forum with Eugene Robinson, a Washington Post columnist, responded effectively to Robinson's attempt to smear the right as domestic terrorists.

To claim that political violence exclusively or mainly originates on the right requires record breaking levels of either cognitive dissonance or dishonesty. Did you miss yesterday's arrest of a Democratic donor who planned to kill Eric Cantor and his family? The death threats against Sarah Palin and her family? Did you fail to notice the left wing terrorists who threw cinder blocks and sandbags from overpasses at GOP convention buses? What is the political affiliation of the rioters who disrupt every G20 and IMF meeting? Where were you when SEIU thugs put Kenneth Gladney, an African American Tea Party attendee, in the hospital? I missed your condemnation of movies, plays and books fantasizing about the assassination of President Bush, and your reaction when the authors were treated to fawning NPR interviews. Your attempt to delegitimize opposition to radical left wing policies by smearing opponents as violent racists is despicable and a threat to the fundamental principles of democracy. 

Yesterday's arrest of probable nut case Charles Alan Wilson, 64, for alleged threats against Washington Senator Patty Murry for her vote in favor of Health Care is what the Liberal-Fascist Democrats have been waiting for.  They may have found their Marinus van der Lubbe and the excuse to practice open repression against all political opponents.

On the holiest day of redemption in Christianity, Catholics are confronted by the following: the Catholic Church, and in particular, the Pope is under attack by secularists for priestly molestation of their young charges.  I have heard a lot of my non-Catholic acquiantences say that the Church is hypocritical and should allow priests to marry and the problem with aberrant priests molesting their young charges will simply go away.  Maybe, but that's just as silly as buying into the equally looney spin that these aberrant priests are in  reality gay and just like their prey to be very young.

  

Nobody that is a sane human being and has a working moral compass likes any abuse of trust, be it by Catholic priests and their alter boys, public school teachers and their students, or Congressmen and their Congressional pages.  Yet the Leftist stooge press ignores the larger overall societal problem of pedophilia and focuses in on their favorite target, Christianity and in particular the Catholic Church. 

It's true that prohibition against priests marrying probably goes back to the Investiture Controversy in which a series of popes challenged the authority of European monarchies over control of appointments, i.e., investitures, of church officials such as bishops and abbots.  The land and other fiscal accotrements associated with clerical office made them valuble commodities.  

These secular officials often sold these offices via a practice known as simony not unlike POTUS Obama I, promising a congressman a judicial lifetime appointment of the Congressman's brother to a Federal Circuit Court judgeship in exchange for the "honorable" congressman's vote on healthcare deform. One of the things the Church did was to take the comercialization out of clerical office by turning the office into an instrument of the church and not a family business purchased on the open market. 

Yet, non-Catholic meddlers want to change basic church structure to suit their secular fancies.  My question to these meddlers is why not ask other religions to reconsider some of their more medieval doctrines, e.g., the subjugation of women as personal chattel or the barbaric practice of female genital mutilation?  

By the way, in my part of the world there is one local high school where there have been four instances of teacher-student pedophile abuse in the last two years.  Where's the flaming outrage fanned by the repressive radical left press?  There have also been calls by some for a Senate hearings on the pedophile priest crisis.  Well, while we're at it then let's go whole hog and investigate public school pedophile crisis or the Congressional pedophile crisis. 

Let's bring former public school teacher and  the schoolboy's favorite femme fatale Mary Kay Letourneau up before the drinking, carousing, philandering Senators.  Fat chance, inasmuch as teachers unions are the sacred cow of the Democrat controlled Congress.  I would like to see these political vermin pass their "august" judgment upon the Catholic church.  Well that's not likely, because you see these vermin politicians and secularist haters have an unfair advantage.  They can't judged because they have no standards to held to.  They are, to be frank, set-up not to fail so that they can be free to pontificate (pun intended) on the bad morals of others that oppose their secularist agenda.  (You know the story, specks in the eyes of others and logs in their own eyes. Religion is opiate of the masses... blah, blah, blah.)   Not that the victims do not deserve justice but behind much of this focused anti-Catholic furor are (1) a leftist political and social agenda and (2) greedy lawyers.  I can't think of a more unholy mix on this holy day.  Let's attack the whole problem and not just part of it.

Food Fascism and the Audacity of Dope (Smoking)

 Several states are now considering the legalization of marijuana so that they can tax it.  This November, Californians will go to the polls to vote on whether or not to legalize marijuana so that the Silly Solons of Sacramento can raise money for such wonderful pet programs like: How to buy a cell phone and providing health care for illegal aliens. 

Liberal-Fascist busybodies will usually justify just about any "sin tax" with homilies about America's moral imperative to help poor foreign wretches and the need to control a general population's daily agenda because the "little" fat people aren't smart enough to take care of themselves.  [NN: Never mind that the corrupt governments where illegal alien wretches come from have the ultimate responsibility for their citizens' well being.  Nor is it the American Taxpayers reponsibility to do for them what their corrupt governments won't do.  BTW, there's some really porky Liberal Democrats out there, like you Ed Schultz .  So before you Libs start pinging on the general citizenry about their weight, try losing a few lbs. yourselves.]   Liberal-Fascists love to be philanthropists with other people's money, especially if those other people are taxpayers.

[NN: Hey Californicators, you're already holding on to our tax refund checks.  Don't you dare try to touch our Lotto winnings!]  The proposed taxes allegedly would have cut $6 billion off a $21 billion budget shortfall. 

The current California budget shortfall is the direct result of a decade-long unwillingness to  spend funds derived only from actual revenues.  Only Proposition 1F, which suspends pay raises for legislators, passed.  [NN: Hmm, there's a message there.]  According to a Reuters artcle about several states considering legalization of pot, the top marijuana-producing state [California] could raise $1.3 billion annually, according to the California Board of Equalization, which collects taxes.  The hook with the dope legalization is that the politicians cum drug pushers want to make money off of yet another sin tax.  Wouldn't it be a novel concept for the pol cats to spend only what is taken in from taxes?

Lest you think that these officious meddlers are only looking at legalizing pot to make money, they are also looking at junk food and soda pop taxes to raise revenues.  Well, the Food Fascists will self-righteously tell you things like the free market favors crappy food choices.   According to one study, a tax of about 18% could result in a yearly loss of 5 lbs. per person.  These same scientists also believe that U.S. government agricultural subsidies contribute to the problem.

"Sadly, we are currently subsidizing the wrong things including the product of corn, which makes the corn syrup in sweetened beverages so inexpensive."

The scientists also argue that agricultural subsidies should be used to make "healthful foods" such as locally grown vegetables, fruits and whole grains less expensive.  Why does this crap like the emphasis on locally grown foods and dictating people's diet remind me of Joe Stalin's collectivization of the Soviet agricultural production in the late 1920s.  What commissar will determine what a healthy diet is.  It probably will the same people that will be on the ObamaCare death panels.  Despite such a tax failing to be passed last year, the deaf, dumb, and dictatorial California legislature is determined to pour a "pop tax" down the financial throats of Californians.

Here's an article on the cause and effect of dope smoking and the fabled "muchies" side effect.  The author is a self described dope expert.  Anyway, knowing that no one is going to reach for a carrot stick or a V-8 when they get the munchies, the proposed taxes on marijuana and muchies (junk food) becomes yet another sinister plot by the Left to confiscate more of your hard earned money.  As we all know the word "sinister" comes from the Latin word sinistra.  According to WikiAnswers:

ALL THAT WERE MISSING WERE THE BROWN SHIRTS, THE BLACK SHIRTS, AND THE RED GUARD

Well color me brown, as in those  snappy designer brown shirts worn by Hitler's Sturmabteilung (SA), aka well, der Brown Shirts!  You could just as easily substitute Mussolini's Black Shirts, but that might get you accused of racism by the Obamabot Noose Media.  You could even substitute Mao Zedong's legendary Red Guard.  The point is that socialists are not benign--they are the ultimate hate group.  And all of the foregoing groups and the Democrats are socialists! 

The Canadian version of the Brown Shirts/Black Shirts/Red Guard were on full and open display Tuesday night as angry rock and stick bearing "student" protesters shut down a scheduled speech by Ann Coulter at the University of Ottawa.  Although in the case of the Canadian political thugs, they probably wore plaid lumberjack shirts.  According to the Drudge Report (23 March 2010 Edition): 

FLASH: Ann Coulter Ottawa speech shut down... 2000 protesters surrounding building with rocks and sticks -- pulled fire alarm in building. Cops shut it down! Blogs calling for Coulter to be hurt. MPs were banned from going, Coulter denounced by an MP in the Parliament.

To bring this home, we're hearing today from the prescient House Majority Leader, Steny Hoyer about Democrats that voted for ObamaCare being threatened with violence!  No doubt the threats are eminating from horn rimmed glasses wearing right wing bloggers and Janet Napolitano's identified housefrau terrorist groups.  This proves my point that whenever Liberal-Fascists accuse conservatives (or anyone they don't like) of bad behavior; it's because they are covering up the fact that they or their fellow travelers are probably engaged in such bad conduct.

According to the Canada.com article, many of the protesters cited "hate speech" as the reason for their fortified assault on free speech.  Coulter believes that the tone was set by University of Ottawa vice-president and provost Francois Houle in an e-mail cautioning her on the content of her speech.  According to the e-mail:

...We have a great respect for freedom of expression (sic),  [NN: that's a major joke, just ask Canadian Mark Steyn about free speech in maple syrup land] in Canada, as well as on our campus, and view it as a fundamental freedom, as recognized by our Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

I would, however, like to inform you, or perhaps remind you, that our domestic laws, both provincial and federal, delineate freedom of expression (or "free speech") in a manner that is somewhat different than the approach taken in the United States. I therefore encourage you to educate yourself, if need be, as to what is acceptable in Canada and to do so before your planned visit here.

You will realize that Canadian law puts reasonable limits on the freedom of expression. For example, promoting hatred against any identifiable group would not only be considered inappropriate, but could in fact lead to criminal charges. Outside of the criminal realm, Canadian defamation laws also limit freedom of expression and may differ somewhat from those to which you are accustomed. I therefore ask you, [that] while you are a guest on our campus, to weigh your words with respect and civility in mind. [NN: Sounds like an implied threat to me and an apparent crypto directive to the little leftist campus commie bots.]

According to Ms Coulter in her most recent column entitled Oh Canada, the e-mail was widely disseminated before she got it.  This suggests that M. Houle was sounding the call to arms, i.e., sticks and rocks, to undermine the Coulter appearance.  Ms Coulter also asked whether hate speakers like Israel-hater Omar Barghouti and ancient 1960s radical Angela Davis had received similar warning letters.  Mark Steyn's comments on M. Houle's e-mail before the scheduled Coulter speech are poignant, if not downright scary as to the state of the western world democracies today:

This is the pitiful state one of the oldest free societies on the planet has been reduced to, and this is why our free speech campaign matters - because those who preside over what should be arenas of honest debate and open inquiry instead wish to imprison public discourse within ever narrower bounds - and in this case aren't above threatening legal action against those who dissent from the orthodoxies. Lots of Americans loathe Ann Coulter but it takes a Canadian like François Houle to criminalize her. The strictures he attempts to place around her, despite his appeal to "Canadian law", are at odds with the eight centuries of Canada's legal inheritance. Canadians should point that out to him politely, and explain that, although he lives high off the hog courtesy of the Canadian taxpayer, he does not speak for them.

The little leftist campus commie bots responded to M. Here's a prediction about the health care/insurance reform bill that just passed the House of Non-Representatives.  They'll be collecting the taxes four years before it goes into effect.  Guess what's going to happen?  The money won't be there in 2013, because the Liberal-Fascists will have spent it all.  Don't believe me? How about all of those IOUs in the so-called Social Security Lockbox.  Social Security is currently in the red!  So do you really think this health care/insurance reform is going to turn out any different?

The other interesting thing that came out of the vote this evening and for the health care debate process is that being a Democrat means that you generally have no principles and that your vote can be bought and sold as easily as a whore or man-whore sells their bodies. 

Bart Stupak (D-MI) certainly lived up to his name by actually believing that Presi-dunce Obamanable would sign an executive order banning Federal Funds from being used for abortions, i.e., the Hyde Amendment would be enshrined in a Presidential executive order.  As the Catholic Online website noted in its Politics Blog:

The Susan B. Anthony List was to honor Congressman Bart Stupak with an award for his Pro-Life stand. They have now rescinded the award with these words: "This Wednesday night is our third annual Campaign for Life Gala, where we were planning to honor Congressman Stupak for his efforts to keep abortion-funding out of health care reform-we will no longer be doing so. By accepting this deal from the most pro-abortion President in American history, Stupak has not only failed to stand strong for unborn children, but also for his constituents and pro-life voters across the country."

To quote one self-described anarchist, "The Law [NN: That would be Obama's promised Executive Order] Isn’t Worth the Paper It’s Written On."  Now if the Obamanation promised Stupak verbally, well then Samuel Goldwyn's quote that, "A verbal contract isn't worth the paper it's written on" is à propos.  All that's left now is to pray that we can undo the great damage that this America hater has done to this great nation. 

From one of the more interesting blogs on the Internet comes this observation about how they do things in Spain versus how they now do them in the United States:

This was unreal.

So every year in Valencia [NN: Spain] they create these sculptures that critique or satirize society and then they burn them down. The burning takes place at midnight and the early hours of the morning. These sculptures are placed throughout the city, in plazas, next to houses. It's quite dangerous; thus, the basis of it's appeal. It kind of feels like a war zone would, I imagine. All day when you are at Valencia there are firecrackers being set off every few seconds, the sound of each new one startling you more than did the last.

Anyway, before the fallas start you have to wait for the firemen to arrive on scene so they can spray the surrounding walls with water as a precaution. You know, in case the flames get out of control. It's not uncommon for spectators to get wet as well.

You would never see something like this in the United States. We just don't spend money on building beautiful things to burn them down later. Instead, we allow what we already have that is beautiful to burn down naturally, allowing Big Ears to justify it as a stride towards "hope." Words are so powerful. They elected our president and are what win wars. If I could build a war team, the most efficient one would be equipped with poets and Jews. Poets, who know the power of discourse, and Jews, who know the power of guilt. Besides, the Israel army is one of the toughest in the world... you just don't mess with the tribe.

The reports and rumors of my arrest and detainment at the alleged new Obama re-education camp at Gitmo have been greatly exaggerated.  All kidding aside, it's becoming increasingly clear that Obama's "progressive" acolytes and camp followers do not handle criticism very well.  What I love most about Liberal-Socialists is that whenever they can't come up with a credible argument against your position, they resort to verbal abuse, physical abuse, or in the case of this blog; they sabotage it.

On Tuesday, there was a malicious Trojan virus imbedded in this blog.  This is the typical "m.o."  of garden variety leftist political thugs, i.e., if you can't beat them then destroy them.  Their methods are similar to that of the Socialist stooges that served Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, and Mao Zedong.  They try to intimidate, destroy, or silence their enemies by any means necessary. 

Well, the Trojan virus was removed.  So know this you totalitarian socialist vermin, I’m not at all intimidated by your malicious pranks.  I am not afraid to go to jail.  Nor am I afraid to die at the hands of you moral and ethical eunuchs.  So I will continue to criticize you Liberal-Fascists until your totalitarian socialist agenda is defeated in the court of public opinion.
